Central Payment/SpotOn to Sponsor GLIDE Holiday Program with $60,000 Donation

Three-Year Contributions Exceed $140,000; Firms’ Employees Serve as Volunteers in Kitchen, For Grocery Bag Giveaway

San Rafael, CA –December 12, 2013—Central Payment (www.cpay.com) and SpotOn (www.spoton.com) have contributed $60,000 to sponsor GLIDE’S annual holiday Grocery Bag Giveaway (December 18) , Zach and Matt Hyman, co-founders and co-managing directors announced today.

In the three years that the companies have participated in the annual event, they have provided more than $140,000 in donations.  Employees from both companies also works on a regular basis in the San Francisco-based organization’s kitchen, which annually serves more than 2500 meals per day to the city’s poor, homeless and hungry.

“We are tremendously grateful to SpotOn and Central Payment for not only providing necessary funding but also the people power to help distribute 6000 bags of groceries to individuals and families in need this holiday season,” said GLIDE’s Minister of Liberation Reverend Cecil Williams. “The continued commitment year after year to help the GLIDE community shows the true meaning of the holidays.”

During the year, the companies also established a matching contribution program which allows them to increase the support for nonprofit organizations by making commensurate donations to match those made by employees or sales representatives to a nonprofit.

“Our concept of corporate social responsibility is a reflection of our corporate commitment to building successful and sustainable programs for our employees, sales representatives and the communities in which we operate,” said Zach Hyman.  “We are privileged to have attained a level of business success which allows us to fulfill this responsibility.

“Our primary focus is on donating to local, regional, and international nonprofits that address children’s and health issues,” he said.

For GLIDE, Central Payment and SpotOn employees also work monthly in the organization’s kitchen to help serve and to prepare food.  In addition to the corporate cash contribution, more than 75 employees will help GLIDE staff hand out 6000 full grocery bags during the event.
