Who We Are

Celebrating 28 years as an independent consultant, TOBIN & Associates brings a wealth of corporate communications, marketing, and reputation management expertise to assignments. As principal of TOBIN & Associates, Gary Tobin has created and implemented programs for local, national, and global corporations. Based in Sonoma, CA, TOBIN & Associates operates both as a direct consultant to clients and as a consultant’s consultant, providing expertise to firms seeking short to medium-term support for projects.

Founded in 1995 in New York City, TOBIN moved operations to the San Francisco Bay Area in 2003 and has since served a variety of clients in the financial services/banking, consumer, business-to-business, biotech, and technology sectors as well as non-profit organizations. He has recently completed a project as editor of a book commissioned by the Library of Congress about Mrs. Rosa Parks published by the nation’s oldest African-American-owned publisher.

Tobin has extensive experience in all aspects of corporate communications, public relations, strategy development, and marketing. His expertise has been employed by clients involved in IPOs, acquisitions, divestitures, and business expansion. His background includes work with regional, national, and international public companies as well as entrepreneurial, privately-held businesses.
