Tamalpais Bank Offers Convenient New Service for Businesses
DepositNOW® Easy to Install, Available Immediately

San Rafael, CA - June 6, 2007 - Tamalpais Bank, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Epic Bancorp (NASDAQ: EPIK), today announced DepositNOW®, an easy-to-use software application that allows businesses to deposit checks 24/7 from their own offices, helping them to save time and to reduce transportation costs.

• Anytime deposit transmittal (several times a day or at the end of the customer’s business day);
• Faster funds availability;
• Decreased fraud risk;
• Check image storage and retrieval;
• Deposit activity history reporting, and
• Data export to other applications

“Technology applications for our business customers,” said Mark Chapman, FVP/ Director of Marketing and chair of the Bank’s Product Development Committee, “will increase their efficiencies and provide more immediate access to funds. DepositNOW does that and more.  The small desktop scanner that we provide converts paper checks to electronic files  and transmits the balanced deposit immediately to an account.

”Our customers have told us that they are sometimes too busy to get to the bank before closing time,” he said.  “They now have the ability to make deposits at their convenience, even if it’s outside traditional banking hours.  This service will also save our customers administrative time and expense because deposit preparation time and bank runs are eliminated.”

While Tamalpais Bank has seven locations in Marin County, bank officials recognize that it is not always easy to leave the office to deposit a check.  “In addition, we have many business customers outside Marin.  DepositNOW is another of our new services that are designed to make Tamalpais Bank more convenient to use, more innovative and responsive to customer needs,” Chapman said.
